Transtech Vertical and Horizontal Ladle & Vessel Preheaters and Dryers are Oil, Gas or Dual Fuel fired heavy duty units, covering a wide range of Ladles and Vessels in the Steel and Ferro Alloys Industries. The design of the heating hood, its movement and the burners are based on years of experience in combustion, heating and drying systems and adaptation of appropriate technology for such applications.
In Steel and Allied industries, the inside refractory linings of the Ladles require to be heated up after lining, relining or before handling molten metal or steel in the ladles. The heating is basically carried out by placing the heating hood over or infront of the ladle mouth and firing of the burner mounted of the hood itself. The flame heats up the inside lining of the ladle to a temperature of 1000 degree c - 1250 degree c. This operation is necessary in order to have a metal that is at the suitable pouring temperature.
Transtech Dual Fuel K-Series Burner, the heart of the unit is specially designed for Ladle Heating and provides excellent long flame with high velocity with appropriate combustion aerodynamics.
Today with the new techniques of ladle metallurgy temperatures of preheating are frequently required. The energy cost of this operation has consequently grown and, in the same time, more attention is given to it. To realize this necessity, Transtech have also developed Air-Oxy-Fuel Burners which provides very good performances and with all the advantages related to oxy-combustion

TRANSTECH BURNERS
The Transtech Burner, heart of the Unit, provides the necessary heat for drying or preheating. With robust & heavy duty construction, the burner is specially designed for ladle heating application with long & high velocity flame characteristics achieved by appropriate combustion aerodynamics.
Transtech Dual Fuel Burners, capable of firing fuel oil or fuel gas including low calorific value gases, are mostly provided for the application, where the burner can fire both oil & gas singly or in combination.
For oil firing, compressed air atomization is employed and for gas firing, the gas nozzle is designed for intense & vigorous mixing with combustion air for providing a strong flame, as required for the application.
Transtech Oxy-Fuel Burners are specially designed burners which uses oxygen instead of air and provide superior thermal efficiency, faster heating and virtually non-existence of nox. The burner comes with Oxygen Valve Train and Control System
